Idle Strategy was a combination project featuring city building and resource management mechanics. Initially only started to learn more about the systems it later evolved into a more fleshed out system changing from turn based to more real time. Which would require more deliberate and yet faster decisions from the players to allow them to expand to the fullest that they can develop their base within the game.
It also later turned into a modelling exercise as I started recreating the assets and buildings in a voxel art style using a 3D voxel editor to create the buildings. Creating a darker atmosphere which would fit into a more survival of the apocalypse theme, as that is the planned narrative direction for the project.
I have also added far more resource types, planning on building a research/ tech tree system. Also planning to add a bit of a combat section to the game, however, it will not be the standard RTS-type strategy system where you build your buildings train troops, and conquer the world.
Some of the resource categories that have been added are Science, Population, Core Points, and a building counter, population can be split into a few professions that you have to train and deploy to receive certain bonuses from buildings or to even be able to use those buildings.
